Brandon came straight from the University of Florida where he majored in Mechanical Engineering. Sylvain joined the FARO team in June 2022 as Hardware Senior Product Manager for Mobile Scanning Solutions.  
Before moving in FARO, Sylvain had 12 years of experiences in Laser scanning for various Hardware Manufacturer ( Mensi, Trimble and Leica Geosystems) and various positions ( production, Training and support, FAE). 
After he move to client side and had 10 years of experience in 3D scanning services companies ( Local Land surveyors and VINCI General Contractors) and had a brief experience at Pix4D photogrammetry software solution.
From this rich experience, Sylvain bring a clear understanding on what, and where the value generated is, helping to build valuable workflow to our FARO clients.

Derik's career in public safety  began in 1986 when he first started exploring the new CAD world and formed the company CAD Easy with his Dad, James White. In 1990 Derik and his partner Janice founded "The CAD Zone" in Beaverton, OR

CAD Zone was a first of its kind solution that made CAD use available to all. CAD Zone was acquired by FARO Technologies in 2014 and became the foundation for the software known today as FARO Zone. Derik moved to FARO at the time of acquisition to act as head of public safety software and has been an invaluable member of FARO ever since.
