Before joining FARO in 2022, Sarah spent 8 years working in Florida as a Forensic Specialist. She is currently IAI certified in Crime Scene and has worked previously with FARO equipment as both part of a specialized Major Case Team and as a Field Training Specialist for her unit. Now she trains our customers from all over the world in the effective use of FARO Solutions.

Derik's career in public safety  began in 1986 when he first started exploring the new CAD world and formed the company CAD Easy with his Dad, James White. In 1990 Derik and his partner Janice founded "The CAD Zone" in Beaverton, OR

CAD Zone was a first of its kind solution that made CAD use available to all. CAD Zone was acquired by FARO Technologies in 2014 and became the foundation for the software known today as FARO Zone. Derik moved to FARO at the time of acquisition to act as head of public safety software and has been an invaluable member of FARO ever since.

Since June 2022, Benjamin Jaffe has been the Customer Training Manager for FARO Technologies focused on the continual improvement of training resources for our customers. Before joining FARO, Benjamin has had a long career centered around education, multimedia and connecting with customer. Benjamin has a Bachelor's in Communications and Media and a Master's in Business Administration.  His previous roles included Adjunct Professor, Training and Development Manager and TV and Film Content Producer/Director. Now, Benjamin helps FARO create new course offerings for its customers, continually improve its certification and badging process and increase customer engagement.

Matt’s career in CAD software development began right out of college when he started working for Generic Software, makers of Generic CADD. After leaving Generic Software in 1992, he co-founded Numeric Software, makers of Visual CADD. Visual CADD was one of the anchor platforms that eventually became CAD Zone. CAD Zone was acquired by FARO in 2014 and has morphed into the platform known today as FARO Zone. Matt moved to FARO during the acquisition and has been a senior software engineer with FARO ever since.

Russell Boynton is a Senior Field Applications Engineer and Subject Matter Expert in Crash Reconstruction at FARO Technologies. He has over 40 years of experience in documenting federal, state, and local crime and crash scenes, and has been qualified as an expert in crash investigation/reconstruction in most New England states. Russell trains, certifies, and supports public safety personnel in using 3-D laser scanning technology to document crash, crime, and fire scenes.
